I have my last package from my SP9 pal. She is the best ever! I love everything in this package. :D I'm at work, so no pics right this second, stupid firewall. But they are taken and waiting for posting.
For now, a listing o' the greatness:
*A handmade card with a fairy on the front that revealed the mysterious spoiler: TeAntae (accent the first e and the last a). She can be stalked on her blog.....
*a bottle of organic lotion, orange and choco. mint
*2 bars organic chocolate, lavender and milk choco. - is sharing the dark with a friend who lives for the darkest chocolate she can find
*Copy of "The Knititng Directory" - really cool! I am excited to find out how a number of the stitches in there look when *I* knit them up.
*Copy of "One Skein Wonders" - oh yeah, I'm excited to get into the projects in this bad boy!
* A kit for the spa set (pg. 84) with real live bamboo yarn...eep! Can't wait to see it knit up
*A kit for the handpainted highlights socks with some of my frist eva trecking yarn
* Oh, and 3 really pretty stitch markers. One is a beautiful pink bead with silver extras, the other two look like Celtic knots or something really Celticy. Hand made maybe? She's a bead maven, so could be bob.
I think I've covered everything. In each little mini-kit, I got the bamboo needles enough to make the items. I even ended up with a bamboo crochet hook. Oh and tiny little sock needles, :D, for tiny fingers. Too bad about my blunt tools then. :P I'm excited to get knitting on these projects. She's got me stocked for months to come, as I'm the slowest knitter in the world.
Speaking of knitting, I just made a ballband purse with some more of my handdyed. I'm excited because it looks great and I know it will felt beautifully. I even did an attched I cord bind off with an I cord loop for a button. :D Learning stuffs all the time.
Oh and KnitPicks rocks. Their customer service is great. I just deleted this whole paragraph about what happened and am now so mad with this laptop that I'm gonna stop for now before I scream. But yay knitpicks and yay secret pal.
:D
A blog where I write about my stitching adventures, as well as other adventures in my life.

Major Yarn Porn Entry
I got bored at work, now you who read this will have to suffer like I have these past few hours, LUST with me. :D
So while surfing through knitting blogs, I found the Full Thread Ahead blog and attached store (Go here and check out the yarn colors ). [Note: they ship for $5 in the US and Canada....WOW] While looking through the yarns, I found this:
South West Trading Company Tofutsies - Yarn that is made of Chitin, Cotton, Soysilk, Wool. Upon further research at other yarn shops online, I found:
"This is the latest yarn from South West Trading, made from a mixture of yarns including their own brand Soysilk and Chitin (made from shrimp and crab shells, yes really!)
Our feedback so far is that they are hard wearing and soft at the same time.
As an aside, chitin extracted from crab and shrimp shells is compatible with human tissue and has been found to be useful to accelerate healing in wounds." From here.
And they come in GREAT colorways. All of the colorways have a form of foot in them. Is that not the cutest!??? I want: off of the right foot, one foot in front of the other, tender foot, and foot the bill to name a few. :D I think this may be the next thing I put in to the boy for. Like he'd buy it, but he never needs to know what my credit card does on the Internet without him. ^.^ <- Those are horns here :P
Next up we have:
The Great Adirondack Yarn Company Sierra in Plum Loco, this is reallly pretty. Check it out, it's Alpaca. mmmmmm
OH dear. They make sock yarn. *gasp* It's called Caribou and there's also Soxie. Google it, ebay it, love it, buy it. OMG. Oh and Silky Sock. Silk+sock=melty Pineapple, Antique, Cancun, Chili Peppers. MMMM. The colors alone make this yarn worth killing people to make money in order to buy. Oh, wait, I mean...ummm...
This sock yarn is on a brit. site, but still really pretty. The color is very vivid, per my screen at this moment.
And Sheep Shop Two Sheep bulky wool is really pretty too. I like color 043 best, but wouldn't you know, out of stock, damn.
Oh, a party in a skein, Fiesta Yarn's Watermark OOOHHH, AHHHH. ;D Jamacian Spice, my flava.
Ok I think this is enough, plus now I'm sad that I'm poor. I want to splurge and buy yarns mmmm yarns. NO! No yarns. It does not count that you just got a new credit card. No!
Enjoy.

The very funny, ha ha ha... Knitorious Mrs. B tagged me. Now I have to post 6 weird things about myself. Then I am s'posed to tag 6 other people. But I don't know 6 other people. So I may just do this and tag the few that I do know.
From her blog: "I must tag 6 unsuspecting bloggers in the knitting world.....And list the rules... and notify these folks on their blog that they've been tagged."
THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
SIX WEIRD THINGS ABOUT LACEY:
1. I love to sit with my feel at a right angle on the couch. The left on top of the right. Strange. I think I got it from my dad. That's how he sits.
2. I walk funny. I used to walk with my feet flung out with both feet pointing out. Also from my dad. I really wanted to walk like him and be like him when I was very litte. But not anymore. Anyway, now I don't walk as funny as I did. But I still walk a bit strange.
3. I am a terrible procrastinator, but I can't really write much unless I have a terrible deadline weighing on me. I seriously cannot write without major stress going on. Very weird to me.
4. I often laugh when people get hurt. I think this is my stress response to worry and sudden fear. I don't think that it's funny when they get hurt, but I laugh anyway, like I can't help myself.
5. I don't like omellettes. Or eggs that much. I eat them, but not every day, or once a week. But I love cheese. I would eat cheese all day every day for the rest of my life if I could. And bread. MMM, crusty cheese and bread.
6. I don't like dogs. I mean, not like I hate them and want all dogs to die, but I'm not fond of them. I like cats better.
These aren't really weird, just junk I can think of them at the time. *shrugs*

I keep looking at yarn, crusing through yarnshops online, thinking about yarn, thinking about all sorts of knitterly things. And I'm knitting like 12 hrs out of every day. Or so it seems. I seriously knit almost all day long since I'm not working right now.
And while I've been crusing through these yarn shops, I keep seeing roving. And I need it. No, I mean I NEED it. Like part of me says, "So you can't spin, so you don't have a spindle, so Dave said we can't hide anymore hobbies in the current apt., so what. Big, fat, hairy deal." And then another part screams "HEY STUPID, YOU'RE BROKE!" And that second voice almost always wins. Damn these podcasters and bloggers who spin and make it look so yummy and inviting. Lisa Souza, I mean really, people, who can resist that stuff. It's like fiberous heroin. And every time I surf through, I feel the need to smack that vein to bring it up for ease of use.
But really man, I think I have a problem.
So I'll just ignore it and hope it abates.
And the socks are totally kicking ass right now, thanks so very much. I am through the heel, although it's god ugly, and working up the leg. Mostly I'm just through the heel and have not even gotten a full repeat in the leg so far. But it fits my foot, mostly it's a footie. Do you know what a footie is? My granny had them and the juuuust cover your feet, like shorter than an anklet by inches. Juuuuuust over the heel and up to the ankleish area. A footie is what I have as of 2:42 am. And I love them. BUT, I'm real damn tired of knitting them. I've been playing with the same damn sock yarn since before christmas and I'm not gonna be able to last much longer. I need new yarn in my hands.
Speaking of new, well different, yarns, I've been working on my log castle. And boy have I screwed it up beyond beliefe. Fubar-ed it as Dave would say (Fed up beyond all recog.). I somehow got off my rounds and now I don't have stepped up strips, I have equal in length strips. But I'm totally ok with that, because there is no way, hear me NO WAY, in HELL that I will rip out like 4 logs to make this thing right. I'm gonna just knit through it and pretend it is s'posed to look that way. Really, I promise, they meant it to do that right there. It's in the pattern. *flash pattern for .5 millaseconds*
And I've been working on the baby blanket too. I've run out of the blue (first ball) and have wound the second, but didn't start knitting with it yet. It's going to take me until this child is 59 to get this thing done at this rate. Gack. He's already 7 or 8 mts already, I started this thing when he was like 4 weeks. JEEBUS!
So that's what I've been knitting, or not knitting, or screwing up (Fubaring) since I last posted a real craft involved post. :D Ta.

And on to the promised photos now.
A cabled hat I knit for my dad, totally in acry. but he'll kill anything else.
The TOOLS [i.e. needle set from the Boy] that he had a great time in purchasing.
Some hand dyed I did over the hols.
The one on the bottom was done with Fanta and this terrible drink called Tahitian Treat. The top 2 are koolaid.
This is how I did it.
I then sprinkled some black cherry koolaid powder on the bits that stuck out between bowls. I then set it in the sun to soak. When I steamed to set the colors, I added some purple powder to the purple side and sprinkles elsewhere. It was a waaaay cool effect.
The wool sucked up all the color!
And finally, the cashmere sweater incident. I bought the Boy one at Walmart *is not knitting for him, no curse here* and it was too big. BOY I'm glad I hadn't knit this puppy. :D
So there are a few pics to keep you (the one person who may or may not read the blog) interested.

I'm a terrible pal. I've forgotten to mention and to post pics about my last package from Teesweeps. This person kicks major buttox.
Check it out!
In this package, I got mega oreo enhancement, chocolate fix (totally been gone since the package was first opened, but I did share with the Boy), and yarny goodness.
2 skeins of Claudia handpainted in purple midnight. (What cool colors!)
a pattern for a lace scarf
a set of handmade needles, size 8.
Thanks pal!
